J&K Bank opens second branch in Agra; clocks first day business of Rs.3.55 Cr

Srinagar: Expanding its foot-print outside the state, J&K Bank yesterday opened its second Business Unit in Agra, which is the bank’s 16th branch in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The bank’s President Pushap Kumar Tickoo inaugurated the business unit in presence of Zonal Head Delhi Rajni Saraf, Vice-Presidents Saresh Sharma and Janak Raj amid huge gathering comprising of valuable customers, traders, senior citizens and local residents. 

Remarkably, the branch clocked a business of Rs.3.55 crores on its first day of operation.

Speaking on the occasion P K Tickoo said that he was pleased and felt privileged to dedicate this second branch to the people of Agra .”The opening of business unit here presents an opportunity to the larger sections of people of this area to bank with us.Rather I would appeal all of you to bank with us and we will ensure that you won’t have any regrets ever ,” he said.

“Let me tell you that our worthy Chairman Parvez Ahmed ensures that our customers get the best of products tailored according to their financial needs and requirements besides services of highest quality. In line with his vision, we will tailor our products to suit all your personal and business needs”, he added.

Earlier, while providing the bank’s brief introduction to the audience, Zonal Head Rajni Saraf summed up the bank’s approach saying, “If you are happy with our services, kindly convey to others. If you have any complaints, please convey to us.”

Those present on the occasion hailed the bank’s opening of business unit in the area. They also appealed to the bank’s management for providing them with Forex services at the newly opened branch.

The demand for Forex services was accepted on the spot by the President P K Tickoo, who is also Advisor to the Chairman Parvez Ahmed.

On the occasion, the Bank appreciated the longtime relationship of three of its customers by presenting them with mementos of honour. The three customers felicitated were Sahinder Kumar Sachdeva of Virola Traders, Salim Pasha Noori of James Footwear Co. and S M A Jafri.

Notably, opened after 34 years in the city of Agra, it is the bank’s 902nd business unit overall and 55th in the Delhi zone.
