Forces defuse IED in Pampore

PAMPORE: Government forces on Wednesday claimed to have detected and defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at New bypass road near Railway station Pampore in Pulwama district.
The IED fitted in a pressure cooker was found by CRPF on Tuesday night at Kandizal-Tengan village opposite railway station Pampore, CRPF officials told Kashmir Reader.
Later it was defused by CRPF’s Bomb Disposal Sqaud (BDS) at 2.30 am, official sources said.
In the daytime, forces were seen frisking commuters and checking vehicles on Srinagar-Jammu highway and roads leading to south Kashmir villages.
