Srinagar: The administration has decided to impose restrictions under Section 144 CrPC in 7 police station areas in Srinagar, today in view of the shutdown call given by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL).

The areas falling under Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal and M R Gunj police stations will witness restrictions while as partial restrictions will be in place in areas falling under Maisuma and Kralkhud.

An official said that the restrictions will be imposed as a precautionary measure.

Notably, JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for a complete shutdown on Saturday against the killing of a Khudwani youth.
