18 Kashmir athletes off for AIMM National Championship

Srinagar: At least 18 athletes were Monday flagged off to Mumbai by Mixed Martial Arts Jammu and Kashmir (MMAJK), where they will be participating in a National Championship organized by All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA).

The Championship will be held from 12-14 January this year, where the athletes from all around the country will be participating in variety of sporting events in Mixed Martial Arts including those from Kashmir.

The tour was Monday morning flagged off by Tanvir Sadiq, Political Secretary to former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah from Gindun Park,  Rajbagh.

The team of athletes will be headed by General Secretary and Coach Asif Hussain.

Apart from Coach, Patron, MMAJK, Malik Asif Noor, President MMAJK Bilal Ahmad Shah, Chairman MMAJK Rouf Sheikh will be accompanying the team of athletes.
