SRINAGAR: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has expressed grief and sorrow over the burying alive of ten persons in a snow avalanche at the Sadhna Top in Kupwara district.
The Chief Minister has conveyed her sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for solace to the departed souls.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has directed the Kupwara district administration to ensure all possible medical assistance to the injured in the accident.
Meanwhile, Minister for Disaster Management Relief Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Javaid Mustafa Mir has sanction ex gratia relief of Rs 4 lakh under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) in favour of each of the 10 deceased.
An official spokesman said that instructions have been passed on to Deputy Commissioner Kupwara to release the relief immediately.
