Pulwama: Clashes erupted between government forces and protestors during a cordon and search operation in Rohmoo village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Sources said that soon after forces cordoned off the area, youth took to streets and started pelting stones on them who retaliated with tear gas shelling, triggering clashes.

Earlier 53 RR and SOG Pulwama cordoned off of the area on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Search operation along with clashes were going on when last reports came in.

Pertinently earlier a similar search operation was carried in Laribal Kakapora and Satkipora Bijbehara, both of which  however ended peacefully.
