Three critically injured in road mishap

Baramulla: Three persons were critically injured in a road mishap that occurred at Bandi near Nadya Kasi road in northern region of Uri on Satutday.

Officials confirmed that accident took place at Bandi area of Uri when a driver of speedy four wheeler vehicle Winger lost control and skidded off the road, resulting in critical injuries to three persons.

They said that all injured were rushed to District Hospital Baramulla for advance treatment.

The driver however has managed to escape from the spot, reports said.

Meanwhile, authorities at District Hospital Baramulla identified injured persons as Anju Ballater aged 35 wife of Nazar Kumar resident of Bandi Dayar, Sanju Devi aged 25 wife of Manoj Kumar resident of Dawaran and Mohammad Irfan aged 22 son of Mohammad Kabir resident of Machichurand.

Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard.

In another mishap a motorcyclist was severely injured after he was hit by an unknown vehicle in Magam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

He has been identified as Hilal Ahmad Reshi of Sail Beerwah. The accident occurred at Banderwanie Badran and he is said to have received severe wounds.

He was rushed to Sub District Hospital Magam where from he was referred to Jhelum Valley Hospital (JVC) Srinagar, sources said.
