Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday expressed her deep regret over the incident wherein Kashmir’s bollywood star, Zaira Wasim, had to face during a flight from Delhi to Mumbai last night.
“Any harassment/crime against women shld be dealt with swiftly & effectively. As a mother of 2 daughters I am appalled at what happened with @zairawasimz. Hope the relevant authorities take strict action @airvistara @Ashok_Gajapathi @jayantsinha,” Mehbooba wrote on Twitter.
Zaira, a 17-year-old actress, shot to fame after appearing in Amir Khan-starrer Dangal.
She was allegedly molested by a man in Air Vistara flight when she was half-asleep.
The airlines has assured action while as National Commission for Women have taken cognizance of the incident asking Zaira to file a police complaint.
