JK to get three more Airports : Jayant Sinha

Srinagar: Minister of state for civil aviation Jayant Sinha on Thursday  said  that  Jammu and Kashmir will soon get three more airports.

Speaking during a Summit organised by Foundation for Resource Development and Education in SKICC Srinagar, Jayant Sinha said that India will soon have around 150 to 200 airports and J&K may get three more airports soon and total turnover of Airlines is Rs 1.8lakh crore which is equal to turnover of railways and telecom.

Sinha said that airline companies have already placed order for 935 more planes and soon 2000 planes will be flying in Indian airspace.

“Srinagar airport will have direct flights to Kaula Lampur and Dubai within six months and night landing facility at Srinagar airport will soon be available”  Sinha said.

The summit was aimed to explore tourism aviation and entrepreneurship in the Valley.

Sinha was the chief Guest while as finance minister Dr Haseeb Drabu was be guest of honor on the occasion.

In the summit prominent businessmen and youth were felicitated.
