Gunmen shot apple trader in Shopian

Srinagar: A 30-year-old apple trader was injured seriously after unknown gunmen opened fire at him in Keegam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday evening.
Official sources told that some unknown gunmen opened fired upon the apple trader Mukhtar Ahmad Bhat (30) s/o Ghulam Mohammad Bhat outside his residence at Keegam.
“Mukhtar has sustained three bullets in his legs and has been rushed to Shopian hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment”, they said.
A police official confirmed the incident and said that a case has been registered and investigation would reveal identity of the attackers.
Meanwhile, soon after the incident police, army and CRPF rushed to the spot and launched searches in a bid to nab the attackers.
Soon after the attack, army, police and CRPF have launched the searches to nab the assailants, he said.
