BJP leader’s house set on fire

Sopore: Unknown persons set Bharatiya Janata Party leader’s house on fire on Wednesday evening at Dangarpora area of Sopore, in North Kashmirs Baramulla district, reports said.

According to reports, BJP president of Sangrama constituency, Farooq Ahmad Rather’s house was set on fire by unknown persons, damaging the house completely.

However no loss of life was reported in the incident.

When contacted, Farooq said: “This evening around 8:30 PM some unknown persons came and torched my house, however soon after they entered inside I managed to flee from there and saved myself.”

A senior police official while confirming the incident said that investigation in the incident has been launched.
