Srinagar: Government forces on Thursday launched a cordon and search operation in Lisser village of Kokernag area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag District.
Official sources said that area was cordoned off by 19RR in a joint operation with 164 CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about the presence Of militants in the area.
Large number of forces has been deployed in the area and search operation was underway when this report was filled.
