ULB employees hit streets

 

Baramulla: Employees of  Urban local bodies including ‘Safayee Karamchari’ (sweepers) of Municipal Council Sopore Monday  took to streets to protest against the government’s alleged failure to regularise the daily wagers and fulfill  their demands including  the settlements of pending  pension cases and  implementation of new staff  pattern.

The protesting workers also demanded filling up of vacant post of director of Urban Local Bodies Kashmir who has been transferred recently.

The protest rally was taken from Municipal Council  Sopore to the office of Additional  Deputy Commissioner Sopore  under the banner of ‘ Jammu and Kashmir local bodies employees united Forum’ employees.

The protesting employees also submitted a memorandum of their demands to the ADC, Sopore.  (Kashmir Wire)
