DC visits test centers under National Achievement Survey

 

Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Kumar Rajeev Ranjan today inspected the schools where the children are undertaking test being conducted under the National Achievement Survey.

About 174 centres have been set up across district in which about 2208 children shall take up the test.

Pertinently National Achievement Survey is a research study undertaken by District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) and supported by the Ministry of Human Resources Development to understand how effectively the school system is working in the country based on student learning. This will help to support the school system to be more effective and improve student learning.

Deputy Commissioner took stock of the arrangements put in place for the test to be conducted for students of class third, fifth and eighth selected randomly.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Arun Kumar Manhas. Chief Education Officer, J.K. Sudan and other concerned officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
