Srinagar: Former Chief Minister  Omar Abdullah today  lambasted the Chairman of   Hurriyat Conference  (G)  Syed  Ali  Shah  Geelani  for criticizing his father and  National Conference President  Farooq Abdullah for his plain speaking  on Kashmir.

Omar questioned  Geelani  if  he has courage  to  react to Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s  repeated statements that  “azadi  was not an option for Kashmir”.

 “Can Geelani  show  me his reaction to the Pakistan  PM  who has recently repeated several  times  that Azadi  is not an option for Kashmir”, Omar , working president of National Conference,  asked.

 “Hypocrisy is a Geelani  trait”,  Omar wrote on micro blog.

Geelani  had  denounced  the  remarks  of  Farooq   that “Azadi  is no option”.

 “These power hungry politicians always  played  deceit. These irresponsible and short-sighted people have  always  served  the  interests  of  their  masters. They are barefaced, follow their treacherous politics and never feel  ashamed for their absurd  statements”, Geelani had said in a statement yesterday. (Kashmir Wire )
