Kishtwar: Seven persons including a girl were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into the gorge at Sinthan top here on Saturday, police sources said.
They said that a Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK03 A- 1391 on way to Vailoo from Kistwar rolled down from the road at Sinthan Top in Vailoo area of Kishtwar district.
They informed that 11 passengers were travelling in the vehicle when the accident occurred.
Seven among them who sustained injuries were identified as Gulam Qadir, son of Gulam Mohammad resident of Hillar, Midhoo Jan, daughter of Gulam Qadir, Ali Mohammad, son of Gulam Nabi, resident of Hillar, Bilal Ahmad, resident of Magam, Bashir Ahmad, resident of Palpora, Dialgam, Gulam Nabi Khanday ( Namberdar), resident of Wandivalgam and the driver Bilal Ahmad, resident of Deherna.
The injured persons were shifted to SDH Kokernag and district hospital Anantnag for treatment.
However, the four more passengers travelling in the vehicle are yet to be traced.
