Baramulla: Government forces launched a search operation in old Baramulla this morning following information about presence of militants.

Army and personnel from Special Operations Group jointly carried out door to door searches in old town areas of Baramulla this morning. The operation yielded nothing and it ended peacefully, officials said.

Meanwhile a person died in the same area. The cause of death of the person identified as Bilal Ahmad Budroo was not known.

Police is investigating the cause of death of Budroo. However there are various versions about his death. Some locals say that he has committed suicide but the others said it was a murder while some others attributed it to massive heart attack. (Kashmir Wire)
