JKLF pays tribute to slain Pulwama militants

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Wednesday paid tributes to the slain militant, Waseem Ahmad of (Drabgam) and others who laid down their lives for the freedom of the state.

Terming these sacrifices as ‘a precious treasure’ of Kashmiris, JKLF in a statement issued here said that the nation of Kashmir is indebted to these martyrs.

A JKLF delegation comprising of JKLF district president Javed Ahmad Butt, Tariq Ahmad and others visited Drabgam Pulwama and participated in the funeral prayers of Waseem Ahmad. JKLF delegation expressed solidarity with his bereaved family.

Meanwhile, recalling the martyrdom of young Gowhar Nazeer of Zainakot HMT who fell to the bullets of India on 7th November 2016 when Prime Minister was on Kashmir visit, JKLF said that from 2008 hundreds of innocent youth have fallen prey to Indian bullets, pellets and shells, thousands have been injured among whom hundreds have lost their eye sight while as thousands have been subjected to torture and incarcerations in various jails.

The spokesman said that India and the local government have unleashed a reign of terror against innocent and peaceful youth and have left no space for peaceful political activities and hence is pushing these innocents to the wall.

He said that Gowhar Nazeer was subjected to state sponsored terrorism during PM’s visit to Kashmir and till date no one has been penalized for his brutal killing.

He said that “sacrifices of these martyrs are our precious treasure and this nation is grateful to these great sons of soil.”
