Srinagar: Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested at least three gamblers in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The three gamblers identified as Mohammad Maqbool Sheikh, s/o Gh Rasool Sheikh, resident of  Panzath; Shabir Ahmad Lone, s/o Late Ghulam Mohammad Lone, Lone Mohalla Qazigund; Zubair Ahmad Mir, s/o Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, resident of  Dardkoot  were arrested in an open field near PHE office Qazigund.

Police sources said that the party also recovered stake amount of rupees 20,000 and playing cards from their possessions.

A case  has been registered in police station Qazigund.
