Pulwama: In order to finalize the identification of land for the proposed construction of Mini Secretariat at Tral, District Development Commissioner Ghulam Mohammad Dar along with a team of officers visited Tral on Thursday.
The DDC was accompanied by ADC Pulwama and Tral, ACR Pulwama, DGM JKPCC, Tehsildar Tral/Aripal, BDO Tral and other concerned officers.
The team visited various sites and assessed their feasibility for the proposed construction. The DDC directed the Committee members that had already been constituted for this purpose to give a final report about the suitability of these locations within seven days so that construction work for mini secretariat will be started soon.
The DDC said to mitigate the sufferings of a vast population of Tral subdivision Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has committed to construct mini-secretariat at Tral and in this regard, Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned by the Government.
The DDC said that the mini secretariat will be a State of Art infrastructure and will have all the facilities like car parking, food courts, waiting rooms, surveillance cameras, round the clock security, bank facility and other facilities. He further said that all peripheral and sectoral offices of Tral Sub Division will be relocated in this Mini Secretariat so that the inhabitants of the subdivision will avail the hassle-free Government services various departments under one roof.
The DDC also chaired a meeting of all the officers of the Sub Division in the office chamber of Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral wherein he interacted with the officers and urged upon them to work with dedication, sincerity and in a transparent manner so that public do not face any inconvenience.
The DDC also paid a visit to SDH Tral and inspected the ongoing construction work. The executing agencies informed that the building is almost ready and only minor works have been left.
Later the DDC also participated in a school function organised by the managing body of Guru Nanak Public School. The members of Gurudawara Prabhandhak Committee apprised the DDC about various issues pertaining to the functioning of school and Gurudawara. They put forward certain demands in front of DDC like macadamization of school road from main road and construction of protection bund around the school premises. The DDC assured the Sikh community that all their genuine demands will be redressed with top most priority.
