Langate: MLA Langate, Engineer Abdul Rasheed Sheikh Tuesday supervised the operation of extinguishing the fire that engulfed Haril Village in North Kashmir damaging several structures there. Nearly half a dozen fire extinguishers were engaged in the fire fighting job.

According to a statement issued, Awami Iteehad Party’s (AIP) spokesman said that hundreds of locals did commendable job in controlling the fire.

In the incident, more than twenty thousand fruit boxes also got badly damaged.

Er Rasheed announced an immediate relief of Rs 2.5 lacs from Joint Effort Trust (JET) in favour of victims and also promised to do whatever is possible to rehabilitate the families.

MLA Langate also talked to Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and other dignitaries and sought immediate package for the sufferers.
