Srinagar: Police has arrested three gamblers and recovered stake money of more than 3000 rupees along with playing cards from the spot, a police spokesman said.
He said that acting on a specific information, police raided a gambling site near Ziyarat Malik Sahib in Soura and arrested three gamblers. The arrested persons have been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Aasif Gana residents of Malik Sahib Soura and Ajaz Ahmad Wani resident of Sheikh Mohalla Soura.
Police said that the stake money of rupees 3,515 rupees and playing cards were recovered on the spot.
A case FIR number 93/2O17 under section 13 gambling act was registered and investigation was taken up.
