Shopian: A cordon and search operation has been launched by government forces in Nazneenpora and Pashpora villages of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
According to the official sources, forces launched search operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
The search operation was going on when reports last came in
Pertinently Nazneenpora is the native village of Naveed Mushtaq, a Jammu and Kashmir Police constable turned militant who decamped with four assault rifles from Budgam and later joined Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit in May this year.
