NC’s Dooru candidate resigns citing ‘party policies’

Anantnag: Citing the wrong policies of National Conference (NC) as a reason, Advocate Advocate Farooq Ahmad Ganie, son of former law minister, Advocate Mohammad Akbar Ganie’s Wednesday resigned from the party.

Addressing a presser here at his residence, Ganie who fought elections on NC ticket in 2014 elections announced his resignation citing party’s policies.

“It was not possible for me to be a part of the party,” he said.

Advocate Farooq Ahmad Ganie was defeated by PDP candidate in 2014 elections on NC Seat from Dooru Shahabad.

Talking to reporters, he said that the policies of NC have disregarded the aspirations of the people of Kashmir Valley every time.

He said that more than eight thousand workers with him have resigned from the membership of NC. “I will no longer be part of NC and will continue to serve people but as an independent politician,” he said.
