Militants lob grenade at DH Pora Kulgam, two cops injured

Srinagar: At least two policemen and a civilian sustained splinter injuries after militants lobbed a grenade on police station DH Pora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday evevning.

A police official said that the militants attacked the police station with a grenade at around 4:30 p.m. resulting in injuries to two policemen and a civilian.

The injured were identified as Police Constable Mohamad Altaf belt no. 824 KGM, SPO Janbaaz Ahmad belt no. 526K and a civilian Mohamad Altaf Magray resident of Watoo village of  district Kulgam.

All the injured were  shifted nearby hospital for treatment.

Soon after the attack government forces launched a hunt to nab the attackers.
