Srinagar: Protests broke out on Tral- Awantipora road on Wednesday morning after a teenager went missing.
The family members and neighbours of a 14-year-old boy namely Muneez Ahmad Mir, who was allegedly kidnapped near his home in Awantipora village Tuesday evening, staged a protest on Wednesday morning demanding swift police action to find the child.
According to the family members, Muneez was last seen before Maghrib prayers near his home on Tuesday evening.
Vehicular traffic came to halt from early morning due to the road blockade.
Meanwhile, Awantipora police have reached the spot and assured protesters that police will try their best to find the child.
“We are looking into this matter and have launched a hunt to find the child,” Police said.
