Army thrashes two youth in Larnoo village, allege locals

Anantnag: Inhabitants of Larnoo village of Kokernag area of Southern Kashmir’s Anantnag district  Saturday alleged that the Army thrashed two civilians in the area after they foiled an attempt of  braid cutting in their locality.

The locals claimed that on late Friday night , they foiled an attempt of braid chopping in their locality while they also protested against the incident on Saturday morning.

They said that the forces during the protest arrived at the spot and dispersed them.

The Army as per locals was patrolling the streets since then and hardly allowing any civilian movement on the roads.

“Whosoever dares walk on the street is either being chased away or being thrashed,” locals alleged.

Meanwhile, the locals claimed that two boys from Shitar area of Larnoo have been thrashed blue and black by the Army.
