Srinagar: A peaceful protest demonstration was held in Pulwama town of south kashmir on Saturday afternoon against increasing braid chopping incidents in Kashmir valley.

Sources said scores of people including elder citizens, youth and children staged a protest in Main Chowk Pulwama and were raising slogans against administration for failing to arrest the involved persons.

The protesters were demanding immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the repeated incidents of braid chopping, sources said.

Pertinently complete shutdown is being observed in the area on Joint Resistance Leadership’s call.

Protests were going on when reports last came in.
