Omar tells Modi that he cannot even ‘tweet’ from Gurez

Srinagar: Following the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Gurez Sector along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate Diwali with army, the former chief minister and opposition National Conference’s (NC) working president, Omar Abdullah on Thursday thanked the PM for celebrating the festival with people and troops in Gurez.

Omar also appealed PM Modi to gift the people and troops a tunnel under Razdan pass.

“Thank you for celebrating #Diwali with the people & troops in #Gurez. Please gift the people & troops a tunnel under Razdan pass @PMOIndia,” Omar tweeted in the afternoon.

“Physical and mobile connectivity would be your biggest gifts to the area this Diwali,” he said.

The former chief minister also asked the PM Modi to help in providing the mobile services in Gurez sector. “You will have noticed that you can’t tweet from there sir. That’s because there is no data and almost no mobile service. Please do help with it,” Omar said in his tweet.
