JRL calls for protest after Friday prayers

 

Srinagar:  Amid growing incidents of braid chopping in Kashmir, and government’s “failure” to stop these incidents,  Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Thursday has called for peaceful protests tomorrow on 20th October 2017, after Friday prayers.

In a statement issued here, JRL leadership said that “growing attacks on women and ugly acts of braid chopping are a direct attack on our dignity and no Kashmiri will tolerate these attacks anymore.”

Earlier today, the activists and leaders of joint amalgam of pro-freedom camp  protested in Srinagar against the “failure” of government to stop the mysterious braid chopping incidents in Kashmir.

Leaders and activists gathered outside JKLF office Abi-Guzar and marched towards Lal chowk.

Holding placards in hands and raising slogans against braid chopping incidents, protesters condemned these attacks.

Meanwhile, Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umer Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik as per the statement issued here said that “attacks on our mothers, sisters and daughters is not acceptable to us and if these attacks do not stop immediately, we will have no choice but to launch a peoples protest against it.”
