Srinagar: Seven persons were injured during clashes between government forces and locals in the border town of Uri, reports said.
According to the reports, seven people suffer pellet injuries when they were protesting against the braid chopping incidents in the town. Reports said that a braid of a woman was chopped off in day broad light in main market Boniyar area of the town.
Following the incident, the locals staged a protest which led to the clashes between the government forces and civilians. The injured were shifted to the hospital and their condition is said to be stable.
