Sopore:  A minor boy was injured in a road accident at Dangerpora Zaingeer area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Witnesses said that a speedy van hit and injured the minor boy at Dangerpora area when he was on the way to his school.

The driver however, has managed to escape from the spot.

The injured boy was rushed to Sub District Hospital Sopore for treatment.

He was identified as Danish Ahmed Rather, son of Feroz Ahmed Rather, resident of Dangerpora. The authorities at SDH Sopore said that boy has been here and is being treated.

However, police seized the van, which according to them was full of illegal forest timber.

A case has also been registered in this regard, police said.
