Jammu Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Jammu: The Jammu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI) Wednesday welcomed the statement issued by Sham Lal Choudhary, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control assuring that the Artificial Lake Project on River Tawi shall be completed within four months.

“It is pertinent to note that the Dy. Chief Minister has termed Artificial Lake Project as a non viable / big scam to which the Chamber of Commerce & Industry reacted sharply stating that after spending crores of rupees of public money how could Dy. Chief Minister issue such a irresponsible and baseless statement,” the statement issued from JCCI said.

The Chamber President Rakesh Gupta, according to the statement reposes full faith in the assurance given by Sham Lal Choudhary and expects that the concerned agency responsible for the construction of said project will seek consultations from the premier institutions like IIT to solve the problems and hurdles if any and make sure that this dream project which will attract thousands of tourists to Jammu City becomes a reality soon.”
