To enhance the working efficiency of Women Police Stations in the State, Director General of Police Dr. S.P Vaid has ordered the posting of 115 lady constables in six women police station and women police cells. The remaining lady police constables have been kept at the disposal of Armed Headquarters.

After the passing out parade at SKPA Udhampur, DGP held an interactive session with the lady constables and complimented them for passing out, after strenuous training at the academy.

While interacting, DGP said that they are being posted in these police establishments so that we will fight crime against women effectively, as has been desired by Honorable Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti. He stated that they will be able to listen to the complaints and grievances of women complainants with more patience as both belong to same gender. He advised them to put the practice what they have been taught at the Academy and deal with the women complainants very sympathetically.

 Besides Special DG, PHQ Shri V.K Sin gh , MD Police Housing Corporation Sh. A.K Choudhary, Director SKPA, M. Sulaiman Salaria, IGP Jammu, Dr. S.D Singh, Director SSG Sh. Rajesh Kumar, IGP Personnel PHQ Sh. J.P Singh, IGP Headquarter PHQ .Sh. S.K Gupta, a number of police officers from different police wings and training institutions, who had come for passing out function were present in the interaction.

Last evening, DGP along with Director SKPA interacted with the family members of lady constables and complimented them as well.
