Six school kids among nine injured in road mishaps

 

At least six school children were injured after a  van carrying them collided with another vehicle on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway Wednesday. Meanwhile, three people sustained injuries in a road mishap at Kunzer in Tangmarg area, police sources said. 

They said that a school van carrying students of KV school, Chenani, from Batote collided head-on with another vehicle at Bagu Nallah in Batote, resulting in injuries to six school kids.

The injured including the driver and the students were rushed to Community Health Centre Batote for treatment, sources added.

The children were given first-aid and handed over to their parents. The driver has been shifted to GMC hospital in Jammu for further treatment.

Meanwhile, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01E 7847 met an accident at Ussan  Kunzer on Gulmarg highway in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The injured have been identified as Abdul Rashid Palla, Mohammadd Sultan Palla and Abdul Gaffar Palla, all residents of Kulhama Tangmarg.

The injured have been rushed to Srinagar for treatment. One among the injured is said to be critical.
