A father-son duo was detained on Tuesday by the government forces during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Vijpara village of Hajin in Bandipora district, sources said.

According to sources, Muhammad Ayoub Lone and his son Yawar Lone – residents of Vijpara – were detained for questioning after night-long CASO ended.

The search operation was launched by a joint team of Army’s 13 RR unit, SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF in Vijpara locality following inputs about presence of militants in the area last night.

However the operation was called-off early morning today.
