The militants killed in an gunfight in Shankergund area of Sopore were identified as Nayeem Ahmad and Ashiq Hussain.
Two militants killed in a brief gunfight with government forces in Shankergund Brath area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday belonged to Laahkar-e-Toiba outfit, police said.
An official identified the slain militants as Nayeem Ahmad of Brath Kalan Sopore and Ashiq Hussain of Andergam Pattan.
He said three AK-47 rifles were recovered from the site of the gunfight.
