Government forces on Monday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Sopore area of north Kashmir.
According to the reports, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Shangergund village of Sopore following the inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh has said that cordon and search Operations are on in Shangergund.
Singh said that they are monitoring the situation but added no firing has been reported from the area so far.
However, reports said that two militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
