Registrar Cooperative calls for rejuvenation of cooperative sector

Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K Peerzada Hafizullah today called for rejuvenation of working of cooperative sector by increasing its reach for maximum benefit of unemployed youth.

The registrar was speaking at a meeting held to review the working of cooperative sector in Kashmir Division.

 During the review meeting the participating officers gave a detailed status of implementation of various schemes in their respective districts. The registrar stressed on re-modeling and rejuvenation of the working of cooperatives so that the sector with its people friendly schemes is able to reach to the public in an efficient way.

The registrar directed the concerned officers to furnish a consolidated proposal with regard to release of managerial subsidy so that the committee constituted for the purpose scrutinizes the proposal and makes recommendation to the authorities. During the meeting the registrar impressed upon the participants to organize more awareness camps in the districts so that educated unemployed youth of the State are motivated towards the cooperative sector.

The meeting also discussed various issues related to the strengthening of the cooperative banks. The registrar appreciated the working of cooperative bank particularly for its smooth functioning of ATM’s at par with other commercial banks.

The participating CEO’s were directed to work in coordination and reinforce the working of each other so that the Cooperative Credit Structure is strengthen.
