Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh and Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga have welcomed the extension of tax exemption announced today by the Centre for the industries in Jammu and Kashmir.

The extension in tax exemption for industries in J&K and other hilly states till March 2027 was announced by the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley today after the decision was approved by the Union Cabinet.

Dr Singh and Ganga said the exemption will further boost industrial growth and economic development in the State. They thanked the Union Government for the special exemption to the industries in Jammu and Kashmir for another 10 years.

They said both the Union and State Governments are committed to incentivize the industries and create greater employment opportunities in the State.
