A gunfight between government forces and militants erupted in Gulab Bagh area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Accoridng to the reports, forces cordoned off the area soon after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As per sources, soon after forces cordoned off the area the militants hiding fired upon them triggering encounter.

Sources said that three Hizbul Mujahideen militants are believed to be trapped.

Firing was going on when the last reports came in.
