According to the district administration Handwara, all colleges, shools in Handwara will remain closed today on 5th August 2017.

Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner Anantnag has also ordered that all colleges and Higher secondary schools in Anantnag will remain closed today.

Similarly, District administration Sopore has also ordered suspension of class work in all colleges and schools in Sopore town and Khoie Tehsil today.

The decision has been taken as precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident.

Earlier, three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Sopore town, police said.

The authorities had directed all cellular companies to suspend cellular and mobile Internet services in Baramulla to “prevent spread of any rumour on social media,” an official said
