Clashes erupted between government forces and youth after Friday prayers at Nowhatta area of Srinagar.
Soon after offering Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of the city, young boys took to the streets to protest against the civilian killings in Kashmir.
However, a heavy contingent of police and paramilitary forces deployed there intercepted the youth who were chanting anti-India and pro-freedom slogans, triggering clashes.
Forces fired several rounds of tear-gas canisters to disperse the protesting youth.
