Expressing  concern over the “deteriorating human rights violations” in Kashmir, a British parliamentarian delegation on visit to Pakistan has urged the world to listen to the voices of Kshmiri’s.

“I stand with truth. It is the basic right of people to live with freedom and peace. The rest of the world needs to know what is happening in Kashmir,” Member British Parliament Andrew Flint said.

Another Member of Parliament and part of the delegation Wajid Khan, strongly condemned the “human rights violations in Kashmir” and said the blood of the Kashmiris is “as valuable as that of anyone living in Britain or any other country”.

“We want to listen to the Kashmiris’ voices by going there,” he said. “Kashmiris have to decide about their future themselves.”

The delegation said it would request the Indian ambassador back home to allow a fact-finding mission to visit Kashmir.

Addressing a news conference along with Pakistan Administered Kashmir (PaK) President Sardar Masood Khan, the members of the delegation urged the international community to take notice of the “Indian atrocities being inflicted on Kashmiri people” in the valley, Geo News reported.

Khan while lashing out at the Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti said that , she is a ‘facilitator’ in the murder of “innocent Kashmiris” and said she should resign if she cannot put an end to the atrocities.

The PaK president also said the British parliamentarians are playing an important role in highlighting the Kashmir dispute.
