Cordon and search operation launched earlier in Sugan village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district has ended without any positive results for the government forces.
However, according to witnesses two shopkeepers namely Nisar Ahmad Mangnoo and Sajad Ahmad Seh were detained by the security forces.
Local witnesses also alleged that the forces damaged the windowpanes of their houses.
Intense clashes had erupted soon after the forces launched the search operation after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
However, forces were given stiff resistance by the youth during the search operation.
