After Zakir Musa was appointed head of an Al-Qaida-affiliated cell in Kashmir, United Jihad Council (UJC), Chairman Syed Sallauhidin lashed out at him saying that he is playing in the hands of ‘Indian agents’.
Without naming Zakir Musa, Sallauhidin said that some miscreants are trying to malign the freedom struggle in Kashmir.
“Unfortunately, some miscreants, whom we know, intentionally or unintentionally are trying to malign the freedom struggle in Kashmir,” he said in video message.
The UJC chairman said that the struggle in Kashmir is based on the concept of freedom in the name of Islam.
He accused the former Hizb commander of playing in the hands of the enemy.
“These days, some of our friends are playing in the hands of our enemy and harm our people and our leadership,” he said.
“We want to tell them that by doing so, they will never be benefitted.”
Zakir was expelled from the Hizbul Mujahideen in May this year when he openly threatened Hurriyat leaders that he would cut off their heads in Lal Chowk and also criticized the Pakistani establishmen.
Pertinently, on 15th May, Musa had openly stated his intention to establish an Islamic caliphate in Kashmir in a video message.
While announcing his disassociation with the Hizbul Mujahideen, Musa had owed support to Al-Qaeda and thanked the global militant outfit for its support in establishing the Islamic rule.
Meanwhile, UJC chief said that in the name of ‘Shariya and Shahadat’, people are trying to create a divide among the freedom loving people.
“We want to clear it out that our struggle is totally an indigenous movement as freedom of Jammu and Kashmir is not an agenda of the global leaders,” he said.
He said that J&K does not require any global organizations like ISIS or Al-Qaida.
“Indian government is using this last ploy to defame our struggle. They are using ISIS like organization in the Valley like others did in Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Lybia, Turkey, and Afghanistan, where innocent Muslim blood was spilled, to defame our struggle,” he said.
He asked people of the Jammu and Kashmir to support the organizations who are fighting Indian forces and not to pay attention to the global organizations and not be part of any global agenda.
