JKSSC wakes up, after Kashmir Vision reports dilapidated condition of playground

While taking a note of the report published in Tuesday’s edition of this newspaper, depilated condition of playground in Managam village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla District, Jammu Kashmir State Sports Council’s (JKSSC) Sectary Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra directed the concerned officials to submit their report regarding the issue.

Reacting on the news report, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra told this newspaper that he asked the concerned Xen to submit the report.

“I have asked for the report and once I will get the report, then only we will be able to take majors for the face-lifting of the ground,” he said.

It is for the first time since 2014 floods that an official has asked for a report, even though locals claimed that they have multiple times approached their concerned MLA.

The playground was the only playground for the people the village and its adjoining which is currently is in shambles.

The playground was damaged in 2014 floods, which is situated on the edge of Nalla Nigli and its overflowing water often enters the ground, thereby deterioration it further. Due to the non-availability of another playground in the area, players are suffering and while being out of touch is proving to the detrimental for their career.
