Director General of Police Dr. S.P Vaid today sanctioned scholarship of Rs. 2.58 lac in favour of 86 wards of serving police personnel. The scholarship of rupees three thousand each has been awarded to the students, who have secured seventy five per cent and above marks in class 8thduring the academic session 2016-17.
Scholarships are provided out of Central Police Welfare Fund to the wards of police personnel with the aim to encourage the children in their academic field and instill a spirit of competition among them. Those who have been awarded include forty seven girl students.
