Police has seized four bags of Fukki in Sangam area of Anantnag District, a police spokesman said.
He said that acting on a specific information regarding the transportation of fukki, a police party headed by DO Sangam Mohammad Ashraf under the supervision SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan laid a naka at Partu Sangam.
During the checking a Santro vehicle bearing registration No JK01H/9420 fled away from the checking point. The police team immediately swung into action and intercepted the vehicle at Bab Mohalla Bijbehara.
“Four bags of Fukui were recovered from the car. The car and the recovered fukki was taken to police post Sangam. However, the driver gave police a slip. His identity was later ascertained and manhunt has been launched to nab him,” the spokesman added.
He said that an FIR under number 104 /2017 under section 8/20 NDPS act was registered and further investigation has been taken up.
