Six LeT activists arrested in Srinagar: Police

Srinagar Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested  six Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) activists in Srinagar city last evening.

“Acting on a specific information, Srinagar police laid a naka at Tangpora bypass. During the searches, six LeT workers were arrested along with an AK-47 and other war like stores” a police official said, adding that  two vehicles have also been seized.

Terming their arrest as a major success, the official said that these members  were scheduled to meet their counterparts in north Kashmir as part of an  arms deal.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case and started further investigations in this regard.
