Srinagar Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested six Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) activists in Srinagar city last evening.
“Acting on a specific information, Srinagar police laid a naka at Tangpora bypass. During the searches, six LeT workers were arrested along with an AK-47 and other war like stores” a police official said, adding that two vehicles have also been seized.
Terming their arrest as a major success, the official said that these members were scheduled to meet their counterparts in north Kashmir as part of an arms deal.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and started further investigations in this regard.
